Transformable Variable Design

Fast and economical, the TVD modular building process is an advanced technology for an intelligent building. Conform to the latest DIN and ISO norms, the TVD process has been patented as a complete building process. The license of the TVD thermo-panel "the basic element of the building system " is registered at the State Institute of Patents of Croatia and Germany (EEC).

Basic

The concept is simple. Several building phases (boarding, concrete-work, thermal/sound insulation, internal installations, inside and outside final layers) are integrated in the basic element: the “sandwich” or “thermo” panel, a three-dimensional grating and insulation. Building operations are thereby reduced from 156 to 25.

TVD merges modern material and methods, with rationalisation of building in all its phases, from planning and design to site preparation and structural erection, thus reducing costs and delays while combining high stability and safety with good thermal, acoustic and anti-seismic properties. Building costs are successively monitored from the beginning to the end, which contributes to a cost reduction and a system optimization. Productivity is therefore optimal for a minimal price, with regard to the intrinsic quality of the building, either low cost or luxury, since the same basic structure is applied. Simple and performing, the TVD technique is fully adapted to environments where building must meet the need for fast and economical results adapted to the architectural and construction standards of a specific location, ensuring structures able to withstand the devastating effects of earthquakes (protection is 2° higher on the Richter scale than the competition) and hurricanes.

The TVD buildings have a high thermal insulation (Low Energy Houses); therefore very little energy is necessary for heating (and/or cooling), reducing production of carbon dioxide (CO2). Materials used are completely safe for health (no radiation). Implementation All kinds of constructions – with any design – can be made:

Structural description


TVD System is very flexible from the structural point of view and enables building of the following structural types:

  • with load bearing sandwich panels in both directions
  • wall-frame structures with openings
  • frame structures which consist of strengthened TVD elements
  • infill systems for other structural systems

All systems have stiff slab structure in horizontal direction. Buildings made in TVD system can be built in a seismic and non-seismic regions up to 8 stories high according to the structural design. Structural analysis is anew performed for each building (or can optionally be typified). Vertical and horizontal connections among the panels are typified. They enable force transfer in both directions and prevent cold bridges (direct contact between outer and inner wall’s side). Using special equipment, typified joints and details around the openings „in-situ“ works are maximal reduced and chance for improvisation (or failure) is as small as possible. Electrical, water- and sewage, heating elements are dry-set „in situ“ before concrete spraying. After completing the panel with concrete, by applying spraying method, gained are load-bearing walls (sandwich panels) that already have very good thermal and acoustic characteristics.

Production and costs

Former classical construction methods have not been able to fulfill the rising demand for housing to satisfy many populations needs. Because of that, in the last two decades, new construction methods have been attempted, all over the world, to speed up the process and make building cheaper, while corresponding to new standards of living. One of them is the TVD System.

The TVD System comprises of design, preliminary work, construction, expense accounting and maintenance.

Expenses are successfully traced all the way, from the initial planning to final submitting of the building. Each phase is influenced by reduction of expenses and system optimization (handy erection of the panels, building floor by floor, integration of plumbing, electrical installations, pipes for water and sewage), thus reducing construction time for high quality buildings performing all construction physics criteria.

TVD is already present in Sudan, Libya, Algeria, India, and under negotiation in many other places, mainly for mass construction in high temperature environments.
